Two of the State's best recreational lakes are located just minutes away from the Preserve! Lake Entiat has some of the best water skiing and wake boarding anywhere. There's always a bend in the lake where you can find your own "private" corner for skiing on the proverbial "glass". At the City of Entiat's waterfront park you can launch your ski boat, jet-ski or kayak and go for 35 miles the full length of the lake. Enjoy fishing, sailing and sail-boarding on the lake, too. Lake Chelan is world-renowned for its beauty. Take a 55-mile long excursion up to Stehekin to enjoy the lake at its best. With snow-capped mountain peaks rising more than 7000 feet above the lake level, it is truly a spectacular experience. The Chelan Mountain range has miles of groomed snow mobile trails, as well, so you can enjoy the views year-round. Also nearby is the Entiat River and many nearby streams with excellent fly-fishing, kayaking or rafting opportunities.
